Thank you for showing interest in our company. Valley Transportation Service, Inc. is a specialized carrier that delivers to all 48 states in the Continental US. Valley Transportation's main areas of operation are Iowa, Florida, Texas and California. Construction and agricultural equipment are the two main commodities we transport. Oversize loads make up 85% of our freight. Our equipment consists of 48 ft., air ride, step decks and 48 ft., double drop, RGN's (self loading) trailers.
The Dispatch Department, Permit Department, and Settlement Department are all located at the main office in Grand Meadow, MN. At Valley Transportation, you are assigned a dispatcher. Customer Service Managers work alongside the dispatchers and together they coordinate the driver's next load. We have trucks available and we are looking to expand our fleet. We offer competitive pay and use top-of-the-line equipment. Our trucks are equipped with APU's, built-in refrigerators and inverters. A minimum age of 21 years.
A minimum of one year of experience as a driver of commercial motor vehicles similar to the type of equipment utilized by the insured carrier.
Possession of a valid commercial driver's license issued by the resident state of the driver.
No Record of a driver's license suspension or revocation for more than 30 days during the 36-month period prior to the date of hire.
oThe suspension or revocation must be the direct result of a conviction while operating any motor vehicle, personal, or commercial.* Suspensions for failure to appear, failure to meet financial responsibility laws or non-moving violations are excluded.
No record of citation or conviction for the violations listed below in any motor vehicle, personal or commercial, during the 36-month period prior to the date of hire:*
oDriving While under the influence of alcohol or drugs
oRefusal to take a test required by an implied consent or similar law.
oViolation of an open container or similar statute.
oReckless homicide or involuntary manslaughter
oOperating while under suspension or revocation.
oLeaving the scene of an accident or hit-and-run.
oSpeed exhibition, contest or drag race.
oUse of a motor vehicle in the commission of a felony.
oAssault with a motor vehicle.
oReckless driving or careless endangerment.
oOperating a motor-vehicle without the permission of the owner.
oFleeing or eluding a police officer.
No record of convictions in any motor vehicle, personal or commercial, for more than four motor vehicle violations, excluding those listed in requirement 5, during the 36-month period prior to the date of hire. Two equipment violations are equal to one moving violation.
No record of involvement in more than two at-fault traffic accidents and more than two motor vehicle convictions during the 36-month period prior to the date of hire in any motor vehicle (Personal or Commercial).*
No record of involvement in one-at-fault traffic accident and more than three motor vehicle convictions during the 36-month period prior to the date of hire in any motor vehicle (personal or commercial).*
*Except in those states which prohibit the use of personal automobile records.
